Matured in a combination of American oak and European oak sherry-seasoned casks, The Macallan Classic Cut 2019 is the third release in this limited annual series. Bottled at a cask strength of 52.9% ABV, this expression was selected by Whisky Maker Polly Logan to highlight a dominant sweetness and optimal flavour complexity. With a suggested breathing time of 10–15 minutes before sipping, it rewards patience with layers of citrus, spice, and honeyed richness.
Nose: Orange zest with ginger and nutmeg, balanced with sultana and a hint of hazelnut. Palate: Sweet ginger and orange zest with a gentle oak spice. Finish: Medium sweet with a lingering honey note.
