The Macallan Distillery, founded in 1824 in the heart of Speyside, is renowned for its commitment to natural colour, sherry cask maturation, and precise whisky-making craftsmanship. With its Six Pillars guiding the house style—including exceptional oak casks and rich spirit—the distillery consistently produces some of the most collected single malts in the world.

Some releases are worth owning on their own. Having both together is rarer. This set brings you the second and third bottles in The Macallan TIME:SPACE Collection, created in the distillery’s 200th anniversary era, and offers the chance to own a matched pair that will be hard to assemble later. The Mastery was released in very small numbers, with only 210 bottles allocated to Australia. The Sherry Cask is a 20 year old and the first Macallan influenced by casks seasoned with the distillery’s own Valdespino sherry, made in Jerez and filled in 2024.

Each whisky tells its own story in the glass. The Mastery is generous and fruit-forward, with dates, baked figs, honeycomb and orange marmalade over sweet sherry-seasoned European oak. The Sherry Cask is deeper and more layered, with Medjool dates, dark chocolate truffles, ginger cake and treacle toffee, finishing with espresso and gentle oak. Together they show two sides of The Macallan’s sherry-driven style, side by side, in a way a single bottle can’t.

The presentation is as memorable as the whisky. Both come in sculptural circular bottles with their own presentation boxes, and the Mastery box features 200 origami-style spikes, a nod to two centuries of craft.
