Bream Creek Vineyard was planted in 1973 on Tasmania's east coast, overlooking Marion Bay and Maria Island, making it one of the state's oldest and pioneering vineyards. Originally planted mainly to Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon, the vineyard's focus shifted toward Pinot Noir after Fred Peacock purchased the property in 1990, alongside the first commercial Southern Hemisphere plantings of the rare German variety Schönburger.
