Maison Delord is a family-owned Armagnac house founded in 1893 by Prosper Delord in Lannepax, in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, Gascony. Now run by the third and fourth generations of the family, the estate grows all four traditional Armagnac grape varieties on its own vineyards and produces a wide range of expressions — from vintage-dated Armagnac dating back to the early 20th century, to Blanche Armagnac, to Floc de Gascogne, the region's traditional fortified aperitif. Delord's Floc range reflects the same multi-generational craftsmanship behind its acclaimed Armagnac, using young house-distilled spirit to create a genuinely authentic, AOC-protected taste of Gascony.

Floc de Gascogne is a genuinely distinctive regional style with roots tracing back to the 16th century — a "vin de liqueur" made by fortifying fresh grape juice with young Armagnac, which raises the alcohol level high enough to kill the fermenting yeast and lock in the grape's natural sweetness, rather than letting it ferment into a dry wine. Protected under Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée status since 1990, it can only be produced by blending Armagnac and grape juice from the same vineyard, a rule that keeps the category genuinely tied to its Gascon terroir. Delord's version uses a specific blend of four white grape varieties, then matures the finished product for at least nine months in old oak barrels — long enough to integrate the Armagnac smoothly, but gentle enough to preserve the wine's fresh, fruity character rather than pushing it toward heavier, more oxidative flavours. It's a genuinely versatile aperitif — traditionally served chilled with foie gras, melon or cheese, but equally at home with pastries, chocolate desserts, or mixed into cocktails and cooking.
