G4 is made by Felipe Camarena, the fourth generation of a family that has been making tequila for a long time. The name is the CV.

At his El Pandillo distillery in Los Altos de Jalisco, the agave is cooked in stone ovens for around 22 hours. It’s crushed with a tahona and roller mill (a recycled steamroller he calls “Felipestein”), then distilled with harvested rainwater. Nothing is added afterwards. The Blanco is where all of that is easiest to taste, because there’s no barrel to hide behind.
