Morris of Rutherglen was founded in 1859 by George Morris, who planted vines near Rutherglen in North East Victoria, establishing what has become one of Australia's most prominent winemaking families, now with 165 years of history. Currently led by sixth-generation Chief Winemaker Madden Morris, the winery continues to craft its range of fortified and table wines with the same skill and passion that has defined the family since its founding. Rutherglen itself is Australia's spiritual home of fortified Muscat and Topaque, and Morris remains one of the region's most celebrated and internationally acclaimed producers of the style.

This is one of Australia's most decorated Muscat wines, and the critical acclaim behind it is genuinely extraordinary — a perfect 100-point score from James Halliday in The Weekend Australian, who called it "like a tsunami of luscious spices, raisins dipped in chocolate, and dried fruit flavours," and a separate perfect 100-point score from Nick Stock for James Suckling, describing it as "like 100 Christmases in the one glass."
