From the heart of Australia’s wine region, this special single malt whisky is crafted at the Morris Distillery in Rutherglen, Victoria. It’s made using all Australian ingredients, giving it a unique character.
First, it matures in French oak barrels that previously held red wine. Then, it gains extra depth and richness from the distillery’s prized fortified barrels. Finally, it’s finished in casks that once aged the award-winning 15-year-old Morris Cellar Reserve Grand Topaque (Tokay), a sweet wine. This final step adds intense notes of toffee, mocha, and soft caramel.
Nose: Rich dried pears, creamy butterscotch, and warm pecan pie.
Palate: Vibrant fresh fruit, smooth white chocolate, and hints of roasted spiced nuts.
