The Macallan Classic Cut 2023 Edition is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from The Macallan, bottled at cask strength (50.3% ABV) in a 700ml bottle. The seventh release in Macallan's annual Classic Cut series, first introduced in 2017, it's matured in a union of ex-Bourbon American oak and sherry-seasoned European oak casks, delivering pear, elderflower and almond biscotti character. Bottled without chill-filtration or added colouring, it's designed to be explored both at full strength and diluted, revealing a shifting flavour profile from fresh pear to almond biscotti and marzipan.

The whisky is specifically designed to be tasted two ways: at full 50.3% strength the character is dominated by pear, but adding a splash of water to bring it down to around 40% reveals a different side, with the almond notes shifting toward biscotti and marzipan — an interactive tasting experience most standard-strength single malts don't offer.
