Built from seven distinct Spanish cask types across two cooperages (Tevasa for the whisky's base, Diego Martín Rosado and José y Miguel Martín for structure, and Vasyma for finishing), it was designed specifically to demonstrate "the structure of the whisky" — a deliberate parallel to the architecture of Macallan's newly opened, striking modern distillery, which the bottle's packaging also references.
