This intriguing GlenAllachie single malt offers a unique Speyside twist, showcasing the influence of Kentucky rye whiskey casks. Initially matured in American oak barrels, the whisky was then finished in ex-rye casks, imparting layers of spice and complexity. Bottled at 48% ABV after 9 years of maturation, it balances honeyed sweetness with bold spice, creating a whisky full of vibrancy and character.
Nose: Baking spices with cinnamon, syrupy fruit, floral honey, and candied orange.
Palate: Honeyed spices with nutmeg, oak char, dulce de leche, and clove-studded orange.
Finish: Dark treacle and rich baking spices on a tingly, warming finish.
