The Dalmore King Alexander III is a pioneering single malt, created to honour the legendary act of bravery in 1263 when the Mackenzie clan — later custodians of The Dalmore — saved Scotland’s King from a charging stag. This remarkable release is the first whisky in the world to be crafted using six different types of cask: small batch bourbon barrels, Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks, Madeira casks, Marsala casks, Port pipes, and Cabernet Sauvignon barriques. Bottled at 40% ABV, it showcases the distillery’s mastery of wood and delivers exceptional balance and complexity.
